Advanced FOG-Based Inertial Sensing Technologies for Unmanned Systems

Taiwan

Aegiverse is a developer of advanced FOG (fiber optic gyro)-based inertial sensing technologies for drones, airplane and underwater vehicles. As an agile startup company incubated by Taiwan’s National Central University, we produce COTS solutions and also leverage our strong R&D experience to develop custom solutions for our clients, handling every stage from initial concept through to market. Our unique FOG technology utilizes a multi-layered architecture that combines multiple elements into a module, providing significant, size, weight and cost reductions. This makes our products ideal for a wide range of unmanned systems applications in all domains, including UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles), UUVs (unmanned underwater vehicles) and even CubeSats and space vehicles.

Fiber Optic Gyros

SG-1A-EC Fiber Optic GyroOur single-axis fiber optic gyros feature an advanced closed-loop design with a compact and lightweight form factor that is easy to integrate and is ideal for mass production. Providing reliable and accurate angular velocity measurement, they are highly suited to precision stabilization and control applications in UAVs and robotics, and are also ideal for higher-order systems such as IMUs and inertial navigation systems.

FOG-Based IMUs

MU-1A-AC FOG IMUOur advanced six-axis IMUs integrate our closed-loop fiber optic gyros with high-end quartz accelerometers, offering accurate measurement of angular velocity, linear acceleration, and orientation for drones and unmanned systems. The robust IMUs feature compact and easy-to-install designs, and the product range includes rugged models that have been tested to IP67 and MIL-STD-810F standards as well as under high-impact and high-vibration conditions experienced by rocket launches.

FOG-Based AHRS

AR-1A-EC FOG AHRSOur AHRS (attitude and heading reference systems) combine FOG and MEMS gyros with three-axis accelerometers, providing automatic attitude stabilization and inertial positioning with the aid of sophisticated AI-based algorithms. These compact, lightweight and easily-integrated units are ideal for a wide range of small-to-medium size unmanned systems including UAVs, UGVs, USVs and ROVs.
