DA70 GenPod – UAV Engine
Quickly swappable EFI engine for UAVs
The DA70 GenPod is designed for rapid field replacement, considerably minimizing operational downtime.
The entire assembly, encompassing electronics, fuel pumping mechanisms, EFI, ignition, and motor mount isolation, can be detached by simply flipping two clips, resulting in substantial time and cost savings during routine maintenance.
Integrating the DA70 GenPod into new UAV designs is straightforward, requiring only a power supply, fuel tank connection, and throttle position signal. The integrated starter operates on a mere 5V signal, delivering up to 500 W of electrical power for the avionics system, complete with built-in power management.
All GenPod engines come equipped with a silent muffler system that minimizes acoustic signature and enhances non-detectability altitude. The unit is available in both pusher and tractor configurations, with various cowling options available upon request.

The DA series of UAV engines incorporates cutting-edge electronic fuel injection technology for optimal efficiency, along with a unique magnet configuration in the propeller hub for effortless starting. The integrated engine control module (ECM) can be powered by a single 3-cell Lipo battery with a minimum capacity of 1500mAh, drawing only 12 watts (1 amp) at full throttle.
All DA engines for UAVs have undergone rigorous testing from sea level to altitudes of 10,000 ft, and in temperature ranges from -40°F to 140°F.

All military-spec DA UAV engines have been rigorously tested to meet MIL-STD-810 standards,functioning at altitudes up to 20,000 ft and in temperature ranges from -10°F to 120°F.
