HES Energy Systems, a pioneer in aerial hydrogen fuel cell propulsion technology, has unveiled an innovative lightweight pressure reducer designed for hydrogen energy storage systems. This advancement aims to enhance the aerial capabilities of both small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and larger electric aircraft.
This new pressure reducer represents a significant step toward realizing long-range electric flight. as a crucial element of hydrogen fuel cell energy systems, the challenge lies in developing pressure reducers that are both safe and lightweight, which is essential for aerial applications.
The newly engineered compact regulator boasts an impressive weight of under 140 grams, including essential components like the advanced transducer. It also features groundbreaking safety mechanisms, such as an overpressure burst disc, ensuring enhanced reliability.
“This pressure reducer is specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with the Aerostak family and a variety of compatible cylinders and refilling accessories,” stated Taras wankewycz,CEO of HES and its parent company,H3 Dynamics. “Additionally, this system will be a unique component of HES’s lineup of ultra-long endurance hydrogen-electric fuel cell drones and electric aircraft solutions.”
In the United States, UAV Propulsion Tech serves as the authorized distributor for HES Energy Systems’ innovative products.
