DeltaQuad, partnered with Tulip Tech, has achieved a flight endurance record of 8 hours and 55 seconds with the DeltaQuad Evo, its fully electric VTOL UAV powered by solid-state lithium-metal batteries.
Despite challenges of demanding weather conditions, such as rainfall and wind speeds reaching 22 knots, the DeltaQuad Evo’s successfully covered a distance of over 500 kilometers, completing the test flight with substantial battery reserves. This showed clear resilience and operational efficiency in realistic scenarios.
This achievement has placed DeltaQuad Evo firmly within Group 3 drone endurance capabilities and retained the compact and lightweight profile of a Group 1 UAV. Moreover, given increasing strategic demands for sustained Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions, the DeltaQuad Evo has set a new tactical endurance standard for electric VTOL UAVs.
