Australian CASA Grants BVLOS Approval for Drone Flights over 500 Kilometers

SwissDrones, a leading developer of unmanned helicopter drones has highlighted a significant milestone in Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations achieved by Xplorate.

Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has granted Xplorate approval to conduct BVLOS flights over 500 kilometers in Queensland, making it one of the longest-range BVLOS authorizations globally.

Utilizing SwissDrones’ advanced SDO 50 RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems), Xplorate has extended its operational range to deliver enhanced solutions across industries such as infrastructure, energy, and emergency services.

This approval allows for more efficient data collection and improved coverage in remote and challenging areas.
