Enhancing Coastal Surveillance with RadarWatch
Cambridge Pixel has announced the successful enhancement of a coastal surveillance system at a important seaport located in the South China Sea. This upgrade was executed by Tritek Power & Automation Pte Ltd, a company specializing in complete power and automation solutions, alongside Tanahair Technologies, which focuses on defense and maritime solutions in Malaysia. The upgrade not only incorporated RadarWatch but also introduced a new radar system, a VHF recorder, and advanced VTMIS software.
Features of RadarWatch
RadarWatch stands out for its ability to present radar video, tracking data, AIS, ADS-B, and camera feeds across multiple screens and windows. It integrates inputs from various network sources and supports several open data formats, including ASTERIX and NMEA-0183. Additionally, it is compatible with other software from Cambridge Pixel, such as SPx Fusion, SPx Camera Manager, and SPx Radar Data Recorder. This modular architecture makes it an excellent option for systems integrators looking to create tailored solutions that meet specific requirements.
Successful Implementation Amid Challenges
The project was completed and put into operation in 2020, overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.Cambridge Pixel’s engineers provided remote assistance and training throughout the process.Sahrin Hassan from Tritek remarked,“The modular technologies from Cambridge Pixel allowed us to deliver a highly effective and economical solution that surpassed our client’s expectations.”
