Strategic Collaboration Between IMSAR and CarteNav
IMSAR and CarteNav have joined forces to enhance the command and control functionalities of IMSAR’s radar systems within CarteNav’s AIMS-ISR software suite.
Innovative Radar Integration
This collaboration will see CarteNav develop an integration featuring the NanoSAR Pods, which offer low Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) multimode radar capabilities. IMSAR will provide essential engineering support and expertise tailored for both manned and unmanned Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms.

AIMS-ISR: A Versatile Mission Software
AIMS-ISR is CarteNav’s adaptable mission software, boasting over 600 installations across more than 40 nations. This software is trusted by operators worldwide for its ability to facilitate flexible intelligence gathering and dissemination in complex operational environments.
Enhanced Situational Awareness
The integration of IMSAR’s advanced radar capabilities into AIMS-ISR’s Local Operating Picture (LOP) significantly boosts situational awareness for operators. The radar’s imaging, monitoring, and surface search functionalities are complemented by multi-sensor integrations, including Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Automatic Identification System (AIS), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), and Communications intelligence (COMINT). This extensive LOP allows operators to streamline data management, filter extensive information, and set alerts for the swift dissemination of critical mission data when time is of the essence.
Proven Expertise in ISR Solutions
The AIMS-ISR team has a strong track record of integrating with a wide range of radar systems on some of the most complex ISR platforms available. The collaboration between AIMS-ISR and IMSAR marks a significant advancement, underscoring the commitment to enhancing radar technology.
Statements from Leadership
“IMSAR is thrilled to collaborate with CarteNav on integrating the NanoSAR radar family with AIMS-ISR,” stated Ryan Bartley, IMSAR’s Vice President of Sales. “This partnership will yield a streamlined software solution that simplifies intricate ISR missions into a single user interface, enabling mission specialists to manage multiple sensors, process various data streams, and deliver real-time situational awareness with actionable intelligence for decision-makers.”
“CarteNav has established its reputation by tackling mission software challenges that others may shy away from. I am delighted to announce our partnership with a company that consistently pushes the boundaries of radar usability, affordability, and accessibility,” remarked Carl Daniels, Chief Operating Officer at cartenav. “With IMSAR’s high-performance multimode radar systems integrated into AIMS-ISR for imaging, monitoring, and surface search, we are excited to provide both new and existing customers with a solution that is as powerful as it is accessible.”
