Volatus Aerospace has successfully acquired Sky Scape Industries, LLC., based in Woodbine, New Jersey, thereby enhancing its position as a premier provider of inspection services for power utilities throughout North America.
For the past few years, Volatus has been delivering inspection services to power utilities in Canada. The integration of Sky Scape Industries will allow Volatus to expand its offerings, including advanced technologies such as LiDAR, photogrammetry, thermal imaging, and corona detection sensors. These tools will be utilized for inspecting substations, infrastructure, and associated assets, as well as for line leading/stringing and right-of-way assessments to track vegetation growth and other potential hazards. Additionally,the company will provide intelligence services that include data analytics to generate actionable insights.
In 2023,Volatus anticipates generating C$1.4 million in revenue from ongoing inspection projects, with around C$1 million expected to be recurring. The margins, net income, and expenses are projected to align with past standards for similar projects.
