Greensea IQ to Hold First Public Demonstration of Bayonet 350 AUGV

Greensea IQ will publicly debut its Bayonet 350 AUGV, showcasing autonomous nearshore capabilities in San Diego this June

Greensea IQ is set to unveil the capabilities of its Bayonet 350 Autonomous Underwater Ground Vehicle (AUGV) with a live demonstration on June 23rd, 2025, tailored for the commercial dredging and marine construction sectors.

Being hosted at North Beach by the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, the event precedes the 24th World Dredging Congress and Exposition and marks the first public showcase of the Bayonet 350 in action.

Designed to operate in the surf and swash zones where conventional survey platforms struggle, the Bayonet 350 offers a reliable solution for complex nearshore environments. It delivers high-precision geospatial data using a sophisticated suite of survey sensors and positioning technologies, all integrated into Greensea IQ’s modular open architecture autonomy platform.

Rob Howard, Chief Growth Officer at Greensea IQ, said, “This is a pivotal advancement in shoreline survey capability. This demonstration will showcase a safer, more efficient way to operate in a difficult environment where data accuracy and operator safety are paramount. Providing operators an in-depth look at the Bayonet 350’s capability to perform complex positioning and survey tasks in the surf zone, delivering precision data collection with an advanced payload of cutting-edge survey sensors and positioning technologies.”

With robust all-terrain mobility and real-time autonomous navigation, the Bayonet 350 is engineered to support a range of critical tasks including pre-dredge surveying, environmental data collection, seafloor obstacle detection, and project progress tracking in shallow coastal regions.

During the live mission, the vehicle will launch from shore and conduct an autonomous operation along the seafloor while gathering actionable data, providing invited guests with a firsthand look at its operational capabilities.

The demonstration will be followed by a networking lunch on-site, offering attendees an opportunity to engage with Greensea IQ’s team and explore how the Bayonet 350 can enhance efficiency and safety in nearshore dredging and construction projects.
