Safran Electronics & Defense has joined forces with Trillium engineering to co-create, integrate, adn distribute cutting-edge electro-optical technologies for aerial platforms worldwide.

This partnership merges the strengths of two pioneering companies renowned for their advancements in high-performance imaging systems.Safran brings its extensive experience in large gyrostabilized systems, while Trillium contributes its expertise in compact, lightweight gimbals designed specifically for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), light aircraft, and helicopters.

As a result of this collaboration, Safran is set to expand its Artis product line by introducing smaller stabilized camera turrets ranging from 2 to 25 inches, optimized for diverse mission profiles.

Trillium Engineering, headquartered in the United States, has established a solid reputation for providing advanced electro-optical and infrared gimbals that excel in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Their systems feature high-definition electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) sensors, precise geolocation, and laser designation capabilities, delivering a extensive ISR solution for challenging operational settings.

By incorporating Trillium’s innovative technology, Safran is better positioned to address the dynamic requirements of global defense and security forces, offering solutions that are more compact, efficient, and versatile.
