Greensea IQ Unveils Major Facility expansion
Greensea IQ has proudly announced the expansion of its production facility in Cordage Park, adding an extraordinary 25,000 square feet.
New Manufacturing Hub for Advanced Robotics
This expansion will serve as a pivotal manufacturing hub for a variety of navigation and robotics technologies. Key products include the Bayonet series of surf zone crawlers, EverClean hull cleaning robots, RNAV3 diver navigation systems, and OPENSEA Edge autonomy hardware.
Celebration and Demonstration Event
The official celebration for the facility’s expansion took place on October 17th, coinciding with an on-water demonstration during the Blue Future Conference in Plymouth, Massachusetts, at the Cordage Park Marina, which serves as Greensea IQ’s testing ground.
Alongside the Bayonet 250, the demonstration featured participation from 250 other entities, including Jaia Robotics, SeaTrac, and students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Insights from Leadership
Rob Howard, Chief Growth Officer at Greensea IQ, expressed enthusiasm about the facility’s opening: “We were thrilled to showcase our newly expanded space to the public for the first time, welcoming local blue tech enterprises, community leaders, and various stakeholders from the marine sector.”
He further elaborated: “This expansion marks a critically important milestone in Greensea IQ’s evolution from custom development to providing fully integrated intelligent solutions for oceanic applications. The new facility will bolster our growth and global outreach for our robotics-as-a-service initiative,EverClean,as fleet operators strive to comply with stringent carbon emissions standards and enhance hull performance across the cruise and shipping industries.”
Howard added: “Plymouth will enable us to rapidly scale operations to meet the rising demand for the Bayonet line of Autonomous underwater Ground Vehicles (AUGVs),as we begin supplying this platform to both defense and commercial sectors for near-shore Mine Countermeasures (MCM),Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD),Unexploded Ordnance (UXO),and surf zone survey tasks.”
