Dynautics, a leader in marine vessel automation solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with HydroSurv Unmanned Survey (UK) Ltd, a manufacturer and operator of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). this partnership will see the integration of Dynautics’ Spectre E-Boat-T control module into the upcoming HydroSurv REAV-16 USV, set to launch shortly.
the REAV-16 is an innovative, portable autonomous vessel tailored for hydrographic, geophysical, and environmental survey tasks in both coastal and inland waters. Equipped with dual steerable torqeedo electric outboard motors, the vessel ensures exceptional slow-speed maneuverability. It also boasts separate 915Wh propulsion batteries that enhance its operational endurance. Additionally, an self-reliant service battery system featuring hot-swappable 24VDC batteries significantly boosts the vessel’s flexibility and reliability.
The inaugural REAV-16 USV has been designated for a pioneering growth project aimed at validating a specialized payload technology. This technology will enable simultaneous scour monitoring and above-water inspections of wind turbine foundation structures.
Henry Robinson, CEO of Dynautics, remarked, “The commissioning and calibration process was completed efficiently within two working days, from the platform’s arrival to on-water acceptance testing. Our goal was to streamline the customer experience, and through effective teamwork and integration, we are enhancing the end users’ operational missions. This exemplifies Dynautics’ commitment to being the intelligence behind unmanned vessels.”
David Hull, Managing Director of HydroSurv, added, “We chose the Dynautics E-Boat-T system due to its seamless integration with off-the-shelf survey solutions and Dynautics’ established expertise in working with Torqeedo’s proprietary control systems.”
