Gladiator Technologies has been selected to provide the G300D gyroscope for the joint Air-to-Surface standoff Missile (JASSM®) initiative.

Contract Details and Timeline

This multi-year agreement, awarded by Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, will see deliveries commence in 2023 and continue through 2026.

Innovative Technology: The G300D Gyroscope

The G300D gyroscope has been chosen to replace an aging Dynamically Tuned Gyroscope.

This advanced gyroscope is equipped with ultra-low noise sensors and VELOX® High Speed Processing, all within a compact design that is perfect for gimbal stabilization applications.

Technical Specifications and Features

The G300D is a commercial-grade three-axis MEMS gyroscope, engineered for high-precision stabilization. It boasts repeatable low noise sensors and VELOX®, a cutting-edge signal processing technology that facilitates the transition from conventional analog sensors to a versatile digital solution.

Capabilities of JASSM and JASSM-ER

Equipped with a powerful blast-fragmentation warhead, both JASSM and its Extended Range variant (JASSM-ER) are designed for deployment in various weather conditions.While they share similar capabilities and stealth features, the JASSM-ER can reach targets over 500 nautical miles away.

These precision-guided cruise missiles are enhanced with a digital anti-jam GPS receiver and an infrared seeker, allowing for pinpoint accuracy on designated targets.

Integration and Global Reach

JASSM is compatible with several aircraft in the U.S. air Force, including the B-1B, B-2, B-52, F-16, and F-15E, with the B-1B also capable of carrying the JASSM-ER variant. Internationally, the missile is utilized on the F/A-18A/B and F-18C/D aircraft.
