BotBlox has introduced the SPEBlox Module, a compact and embeddable PCB mount solution that efficiently transitions between standard gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and gigabit single Pair Ethernet (1000BASE-T1).
This innovative module manages all necessary conversions, software, firmware, and physical specifications, making it easier to incorporate 1000BASE-T1 (Automotive Single Pair Ethernet) into various systems. By leveraging the SPEBlox Module, engineers can drastically cut down on development time, reducing the integration process of 1000BASE-T1 to just a few hours rather of several weeks.
Engineers can utilize the SPEBlox for testing purposes before moving on to the SPEBlox Module for larger-scale applications, thanks to the similar circuitry design. With dimensions of only 22mm x 29mm,this module is compact enough for environments where space and weight are critical factors.
The castellated holes facilitate direct, cost-effective, and low-profile integration, while 0.1″ (1.27mm) pin headers are also available for board mating. Currently under development,the SPEBlox Module complies with NDAA regulations and is anticipated to be released by mid-June 2025.
As Single Pair Ethernet (1000BASE-T1) gains traction in devices such as cameras, embedded processors, and sensors, the need for effective conversion between SPE and standard Ethernet remains. BotBlox meets this demand with its solderable converter from 1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-T1, which includes:
- Compliance with NDAA and TAA, manufactured in the USA
- Full adherence to 1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-T1 standards
- Support for 1Gbps transmission over a single twisted pair with a range of 15 meters
- ECAD footprints and symbols available upon launch
- A broad operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
