FarSounder and NSSLGlobal have partnered to bring the Argos product line to their defense, commercial, and recreational clientele.
This cutting-edge Forward looking Sonar (FLS) technology is designed to enhance safe navigation and facilitate obstacle detection. FarSounder’s innovations are well-established in the cruise and leisure sectors and are gaining traction in both Scientific/Exploration and defense fields, particularly as these industries shift towards Unmanned Surface Vessels (usvs).
Many vessels now operate in more demanding conditions, such as higher latitudes where ice may be present, poorly mapped regions, or remote ports. This patented technology provides a detailed view of the underwater landscape ahead of the vessel, significantly lowering the risk of collisions, which helps to avert expensive damage to property, the surroundings, and the safety of marine life and human beings.
Clients of NSSLGlobal will gain access to FarSounder’s unique technology, which is the sole system capable of producing a genuine 3-dimensional image of the underwater environment at navigationally relevant distances with each sonar ping. the latest addition to their lineup is the Argos 350 Forward Looking Sonar system, perfectly suited for USVs and mid-sized vessels measuring between 18 and over 40 meters.
Paul Rutherford, Engineering Director at NSSLGlobal, stated, “We are thrilled to collaborate with FarSounder; this Argos technology will revolutionize navigation for our clients by providing a real-time underwater view ahead of the vessel, making maritime travel significantly safer and more efficient.”
Matthew Zimmerman, CEO of FarSounder, remarked, “As interest in our technology continues to grow across various sectors, this partnership with NSSLGlobal will be crucial in broadening our outreach and enhancing navigation safety for new customers.”
