Introducing the Next-Gen Rugged HPC Server: Optimized SWaP Solutions for UGVs!

RGS-8805GC incorporates from the ground up Neousys cooling design, with compartmentalization allowing the system to operate in a temperature range from -25°C to 60°C for military and defense edge AI applications in the field

Introducing the RGS-8805GC: A Cutting-Edge Rugged Computing Solution

Neousys technology, a leader in rugged embedded computing solutions, has unveiled the RGS-8805GC, a state-of-the-art high-performance server specifically designed for unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) applications. This innovative system is engineered with an emphasis on size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) optimization.

Powerful Processing Capabilities

At the heart of the RGS-8805GC lies the AMD EPYC 7003 series ‘MILAN’ processor, boasting up to 64 cores and 128 threads for extraordinary computational performance. Coupled with high-end NVIDIA RTX A6000 or A4500 GPUs, this server is built to handle demanding tasks. Neousys has integrated a unique cooling architecture that allows the system to function efficiently within a temperature range of -25°C to 60°C,ensuring reliable performance for military and defense applications in edge AI scenarios.

Versatile Expansion and Connectivity

the RGS-8805GC supports a wide DC input range of 8 to 48V and includes expansion slots for various peripherals, such as automotive camera capture cards, LiDAR systems, and mmWave technology for rapid data transmission. This versatility enables the deployment of autonomous robotic systems across a spectrum of civilian and military operations in challenging environments.

Robust Design for Extreme Conditions

Equipped with front-accessible I/O ports featuring screw-lock connections, the RGS-8805GC ensures secure connectivity for USB and 10G/1G cables. It meets the MIL-STD-810G military standard and includes a patented damping bracket designed to endure the rigors of in-vehicle conditions. Neousys asserts that this server is engineered to excel in extreme environments, providing UGVs with high-performance computing capabilities and effective cooling for continuous operation in the field.

Compact and Lightweight Configuration

In alignment with the SWaP initiative, the RGS-8805GC houses an AMD EPYC 7003 series server-grade processor within a compact 2U 19” rack-mount chassis, measuring just 350mm in depth. Weighing approximately 8.6kg, it is considerably lighter than conventional military-grade computers, offering ample processing power and AI inference capabilities in a more compact form factor.
