EIZO Rugged Solutions unveils the Condor GR5-A2000: A Game-Changer for Aerospace and Unmanned Systems
EIZO Rugged Solutions has launched the Condor GR5-A2000, marking a significant advancement as the inaugural OpenVPX 3U graphics and GPGPU card tailored for aerospace and unmanned systems. This innovative card is built around the NVIDIA RTX A2000 embedded GPU and is equipped with four Single-Link DVI-D outputs.
Unmatched Performance with NVIDIA Ampere Architecture
Harnessing the power of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, the Condor GR5-A2000 excels in real-time GPGPU processing and GPU-centric computing. It boasts an impressive 2,560 NVIDIA CUDA cores, 20 second-generation RT Cores, and 80 third-generation Tensor Cores. This single-slot design considerably enhances embedded systems, offering up to double the throughput for matrix operations compared to earlier models, making it ideal for demanding tasks such as multi-sensor processing, neural network training, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
Enhanced Bandwidth and Data Transfer Capabilities
The Condor GR5-A2000 is equipped with PCI Express Gen 4 (4x or 8x lane), which doubles the bandwidth of its predecessors. This upgrade translates to faster data transfer rates for applications in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), 3D rendering, and simulation, thereby improving overall system efficiency.
Robust Specifications for High-Performance Computing
With a floating-point performance of up to 9.3 TFLOPs for both FP32 and INT32, the card features 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with Error correction Code (ECC). It also includes dedicated engines for H.265/H.264 encoding and decoding, along with support for NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA NVDEC/NVENC, ensuring high-quality video processing capabilities.
Customizable Output and Future-Proof Design
The OpenVPX card will offer customizable output configurations, including support for 3G-SDI, DVI, and DisplayPort, with plans for future iterations to align with SOSA standards. Available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled variants, the Condor GR5-A2000 is engineered to comply with MIL-STD-810 and aerospace specifications, ensuring reliability under extreme conditions of temperature, shock, vibration, and power.
