Driving Innovation: Partnership Fuels Robotics Market Technology Development

Ground control station leader UXV Technologies and leading datalink provider Doodle Labs commit to continued technology development and expanded thought leadership collaboration

UXV Technologies, a prominent player in the realm of command and control solutions for unmanned systems, has strengthened and broadened its collaboration with Doodle Labs, a top-tier provider of industrial-grade wireless networking technologies.

As thier partnership commenced in 2019, the two firms have been working together to innovate within the mobile robotics sector. They have now pledged to further advance their technological developments and enhance their marketing efforts within the expansive robotics industry.

both UXV Technologies and Doodle Labs have actively contributed to the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Blue UAS initiative, which aims to swiftly evaluate and scale commercial UAS technologies for military applications.

UXV Technologies has introduced the SRoC (Soldier Robotic Controller), a robust ground control station designed for drones and robotics, built around the Panasonic FZ-S1 tablet. This system offers a variety of joysticks and buttons to meet diverse operational needs.

This system offers versatile communication options thru Swappable Radio Modules (SRM), including the Doodle Labs’ Helix Mesh Rider radio.

developed with support from the DoD’s Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), the Helix Mesh Rider Radio serves as the preferred datalink for the Blue UAS program.

This radio utilizes proprietary multi-band technology, enabling it to operate across a spectrum of licensed frequencies commonly utilized by the DoD, ranging from M1 to M6, or 1.6 GHz to 2.5 GHz.

its compact mini-OEM design is characterized by low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) requirements, along with FIPS 140-3-certified encryption, both of which are essential for military operations.

“Our partnership with Doodle Labs has been incredibly meaningful, as they are not only innovative but also dedicated to exploring new solutions alongside us,” stated Steven Friberg, CEO and Founder of UXV Technologies. “many of our clients have opted for the Doodle labs radio due to its excellent price-to-performance ratio, which is particularly favorable for smaller drones and robots. While larger,more powerful radios are available,they frequently enough lack the compactness needed for integration into both the controller and the vehicle.”

over the past four years of collaborative integration, UXV Technologies has incorporated Doodle Labs radios into all its platforms, catering to a diverse clientele that includes defense, government, and industrial sectors.
