Exail Integrates advanced Technology into R7 ROVs
Exail has partnered with Elwave to incorporate state-of-the-art Tetrapulse sensors, utilizing CEDAR (Controlled Electric Detection And ranging) technology, into several R7 ROVs for a confidential client.
Enhanced Sensing Capabilities for underwater Operations
The innovative biomimicry sensing technology offers substantial benefits for mapping electrical resistivity underwater. R7 ROVs outfitted with Elwave’s Tetrapulse sensors are poised to enhance the detection, localization, and analysis of both metallic and non-metallic targets submerged or buried, including materials like steel, aluminum, and fiberglass composites.
Operational Excellence in Challenging Environments
Gary Bagot, Sales director at Elwave, stated, “The integration of CEDAR technology substantially boosts operational capabilities during target identification and neutralization missions, especially in murky waters.”
Versatile Design for Diverse Applications
The R7 ROV combines the nimbleness of a mini-ROV with the functionalities of an observation-class system. its modular architecture accommodates various sensors, tools, and payloads, making it exceptionally suited for underwater security tasks, including navigating hazardous terrains and detecting and disposing of unexploded ordnance (UXO).
Collaboration for Enhanced Underwater Solutions
Nicolas Astruc, Managing Director of ROV at Exail, remarked, “By incorporating CEDAR technology into the R7 ROV, our collaboration with Elwave delivers a complex solution that enhances operational efficiency for underwater exploration, defense, and security missions. This partnership merges Exail’s maritime robotics expertise with Elwave’s advanced electromagnetic sensing technology, providing clients with a powerful tool for operations in intricate environments.”
