Introducing the G300D Gyroscope: A Game-Changer in Aerial Imaging
Gladiator Technologies has unveiled its latest innovation, the G300D gyroscope, a compact three-axis inertial rate system. This cutting-edge device is designed for optimal performance in stabilizing aerial imaging systems, notably in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), thanks to its small footprint, low power consumption, and rapid response times.
Compact Design with High Performance
Measuring just 0.67 cubic inches, the G300D boasts impressive specifications, including message timing of less than 150 microseconds and output data rates reaching up to 8kHz with external synchronization. This MEMS gyroscope features an ultra-low Angular Random walk (ARW) of less than 0.0028°/sec/√Hz, along with options for both 24 and 32-Bit Least Critically important Bit (LSB) for outstanding resolution. Users can easily customize the G300D to meet their specific needs through a Software Advancement Kit or various software protocols, streamlining the integration process.
Enhanced Bandwidth and Versatility
According to Rand Hulsing, Chief Scientist at Gladiator Technologies, “With a bandwidth of 250Hz, the G300D enables users to substitute more complex and costly gyroscopes in image stabilization tasks. Its three-axis configuration allows for flexible mounting in confined spaces.”
Advanced Sensor Fusion Technology
Lee Dunbar, Chief Software Architect at Gladiator Technologies, remarked, “the G300D exemplifies our SX-series architecture, which has allowed us to enhance our sensor fusion capabilities for high-speed applications, achieving message latency below 150 microseconds. This output mimics the minimal phase lag of an analog sensor by significantly reducing the typical overhead associated with signal processing and digital conversion.”
Non-ITAR Compliance
It is vital to note that the G300D gyroscope is classified as a non-ITAR product, making it accessible for a wider range of applications.
