The Mission Specialist Defender is engineered for operations that demand precise positioning and orientation, along with the ability to carry heavier payloads. Equipped with seven thrusters, this adaptable ROV can navigate in any direction while maintaining its pitch for vertical movements.

This underwater platform can be outfitted with various sensors and payloads tailored to specific mission needs, utilizing either copper or fiber optic tethers. Additionally, the control and navigation software can be enhanced with critical mission packages from Greensea Systems or Seebyte, optimizing performance in hazardous or demanding scenarios.

Notably, the US Navy has chosen the Mission Specialist Defender as the foundational platform for the MK20 Defender ROV program, employing it to locate and neutralize underwater mines and explosives in maritime conflict zones globally.

The Agile Mission Specialist Pro 5

Designed for speed and efficiency, the Mission Specialist Pro 5 is a compact ROV that excels in time-sensitive missions. With three thrusters and a forward speed exceeding 4.4 knots, it is perfect for tasks that require agility, such as inspections in confined areas, search and recovery operations, and ocean floor investigations.

The Pro 5 can be equipped with a diverse array of sensors and payloads, including BluePrint sonars (750D or 1200D), single or dual-axis manipulators, and Micron or SeaTrac USBLs, ensuring versatility for various applications.

Customizable Solutions for Every Need

VideoRay’s Mission Specialist ROVs are designed with a high degree of modularity and customization. The company collaborates with clients to create tailored solutions that meet specific requirements for sensors, tools, depth ratings, thrust capabilities, and more.

This modular design not only simplifies maintenance and upgrades but also allows for fast repairs and seamless integration across different configurations. Available modules include cameras, thrusters, LED lighting, dialog systems, manipulators, and additional options.
