Volz Servos has introduced its latest brushless actuator, the DA 22 BLDC. Building on the established DA 22 model, this advanced mid-sized actuator incorporates a brushless DC motor and utilizes contactless, wear-free position sensing technology, delivering a peak torque of up too 3.5 nm, with a rated torque of 1.5 Nm.
Engineered for extreme conditions and critical safety applications, the DA 22 BLDC meets MIL-810G testing standards. It is especially suited for various unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications and other unmanned systems.
The actuator is offered in both 12V and 28V configurations, featuring options for either PWM or RS485 communication interfaces. Customers can choose between two housing designs: a newly developed model and one that maintains mechanical compatibility with the original DA 22. Additionally, Volz provides customization options for housing and connectors, including a submersible variant tailored for unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and marine applications.
Phillipp Volz, the CEO of Volz Servos, remarked, “having sold tens of thousands of units, the DA 22 has established its meaning among UAV manufacturers. It was essential for us to provide an updated, even more dependable solution in this product line.”
Felix Thun, the Director of Business Development at Volz, added, “This launch marks the beginning of a series of product introductions we have planned for this year. Our customers can look forward to exciting developments. We are committed to addressing our customers’ needs, which drives our continuous investment in research and development while staying attuned to market demands.”
