OceanAlpha showcases Innovative L25 USV in Dubai
OceanAlpha has successfully demonstrated its L25 Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) at Port Rashid,Dubai, highlighting customized solutions for offshore energy, hydrographic surveys, and smart port initiatives throughout the Middle East.
collaborative Efforts and Demonstrations
In partnership with SINO and Sitech gulf, the event featured both static displays of the vessel and live demonstrations showcasing its autonomous navigation capabilities, sensor integration, and real-time data acquisition.

Advanced Sensor Integration
The L25 USV showcased its capabilities as a multi-sensor platform by incorporating Teledyne marine’s T20 Multibeam Sonar, EdgeTech Marine’s 4125 Side Scan Sonar, and Teledyne PDS software. Utilizing Trimble Centrepoint RTX signal correction, the system achieved an notable positioning accuracy of 4 cm, making it well-suited for intricate offshore oil and gas operations as well as marine surveys.
Dynamic Trials and Real-Time Monitoring
During the live trials, the vessel effectively conducted seabed mapping, sediment analysis, and underwater structure detection simultaneously.
Supporting Regional growth Goals
Pinestone, General Manager of OceanAlpha, stated, “The Middle East’s commitment to enhancing energy infrastructure and developing smart ports aligns seamlessly with our USV technology. By illustrating how the L25 can improve efficiency in tasks such as pipeline inspections and coastal mapping, we aim to contribute to the region’s vision for a technologically advanced maritime sector.”
Enhanced Efficiency Through Real-Time Data
Data from these operations was streamed live to the Remote operation Centre (ROC), where participants could observe synchronized displays of navigation routes, sonar scans, and seabed maps. This demonstrated how the USV’s thorough workflow can significantly boost efficiency in both the energy and maritime industries.
