Revolutionary Bi-Directional Amplifier for MIMO Radios Now Available!

Triad RF Systems has introduced a new dual bi-directional amplifier that supports 2X2 MIMO radio applications.

Introducing the TTRM2005D: A Cutting-edge Dual Bi-Directional Amplifier

Triad RF Systems has unveiled its latest innovation, the TTRM2005D, a dual bi-directional amplifier tailored for 2X2 MIMO radio applications. This solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) operates within a frequency range of 2200-2500 MHz, accommodating a diverse array of signal types, from straightforward continuous wave (CW) and frequency modulation (FM) signals to intricate, highly modulated carriers like 64 and 256 QAM. With dimensions of 3.4 x 2.6 x 0.65 inches and a lightweight design of just 5 ounces, this compact amplifier is perfectly suited for military and commercial unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as well as other unmanned systems.

advanced Technology and Features

Built on cutting-edge LDMOS transistor technology, the TTRM2005D excels in delivering either highly linear power with minimal distortion or peak power with remarkable efficiency. Key operational features include options for manual or automatic switching between transmit (TX) and receive (RX) modes, a temperature monitoring output, over-temperature protection, and an amplifier status output for real-time performance tracking.

versatile Applications

This SSPA module is not limited to UAVs; it also finds applications in various military and commercial radio systems, software-defined radios (SDR), and general RF amplification tasks. The TTRM2005D is compatible with any signal type and modulation format, including 3G and 4G telecommunications, WLAN, OFDM, DVB, QAM, and CW/AM/FM technologies.

Technical Specifications

The specifications for each channel of the TTRM2005D dual bi-directional amplifier are as follows:

  • Transmit signal gain: 25 dB
  • Receive signal gain: 12 dB
  • Receive signal noise figure: 2.5 dB
  • Approximately 20W BPSK power (total RF power of 40W)
