Groundbreaking Atlantic Survey Mission
In August 2020, SEA-KIT’s USV ‘Maxlimer’ participated in a joint Atlantic survey initiative, co-financed by the UK Space Agency. this project aimed to showcase genuine over-the-horizon survey capabilities, employing state-of-the-art technologies to explore previously uncharted ocean territories.
during its 22-day offshore mission, the USV successfully conducted survey operations along the European continental shelf. Throughout this endeavor, SEA-KIT’s ‘Maxlimer’ covered over 1,200 nautical miles and mapped more than 400 square miles of ocean floor that had not been adequately surveyed before.
