Advanced Navigation has unveiled the Hydrus,a cutting-edge autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that merges advanced navigation,sonar,and interaction technologies with a high-definition 4K camera capable of 60 frames per second,all within a compact design. This innovative AUV is engineered to enhance underwater data acquisition and inspection, catering to sectors that demand high-resolution imagery and precise geo-referenced information.

Revolutionizing Underwater Operations

Hydrus eliminates the necessity for costly remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), specialized underwater robotics, survey ships, and the need for highly skilled operators or divers. It’s user-friendly interface allows individuals to plan missions in a three-dimensional space without requiring extensive technical expertise. additionally, its acoustic communication features enable real-time monitoring and adjustments during missions.

Compact and Efficient Design

Designed for portability, Hydrus can easily be transported on commercial flights and is operable by a single individual for both launch and retrieval. The integrated 4K camera, paired with robust lighting, guarantees exceptional video and photographic quality. An AI-driven image processing system automatically adjusts camera settings and lighting, effectively compensating for water clarity issues, even in challenging environments. after completing a mission, users can wirelessly download the collected data to a computer.

Advanced Features for Enhanced Performance

Hydrus is equipped with intelligent AI navigation that includes obstacle avoidance, altitude management, and image quality enhancement. It combines a USBL, DVL, INS, and both acoustic and optical modems into a single, streamlined unit. The innovative hubless thrusters are designed to prevent entanglement with debris such as ropes or seaweed, while the fully sealed, connector-free construction ensures high reliability and minimal maintenance.

Remarkable Specifications

This AUV can execute missions lasting up to three hours, covering distances of up to 9 kilometers, with a maximum operational speed of 4 knots and a depth rating of 3,000 meters (10,000 feet).
