cubepilot has introduced the ardubee, a compact, versatile drone platform that integrates seamlessly with the CubePilot Ecosystem, featuring the same H7 MCU flight controller utilized in the Cube autopilot system.
The CubePilot Ecosystem not only includes the autopilot but also a range of accessories and carrier boards, developed with extensive input from both the drone community and industry experts. The Ardubee leverages the popular ArduPilot open-source firmware, enabling users to quickly establish a robust and well-supported development environment.
Initially launched as a Kickstarter initiative by LuminousBees, the Ardubee project was acquired by CubePilot. After more than a year of refinement and enhancement, the design has been significantly upgraded.
This lightweight, modular platform boasts a dual-core Wi-Fi module, IMU, compass, barometer, GPS, and other high-quality electronic components, all packed into a palm-sized unit. The Ardubee is perfect for educational purposes, research, and applications such as drone light shows. Additionally, it can be utilized to create various unmanned vehicles, including UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles), USVs (unmanned surface vehicles), and UUVs (unmanned underwater vehicles).
