Embention, a specialized developer of autopilot systems and safety-critical avionics for autonomous aerial vehicles, has been approved by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) as a Production Organization Approval (POA) to manufacture UAS and eVTOL autopilots.
This POA certification, issued within the regulatory framework of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and under approval number ES.21G.0038, confirms Embention meets high standards in quality, traceability, team qualification, and aerospace production process control.
Embention has also reportedly become the first company, specialized in autonomous aviation avionics, able to design and manufacture certified aerospace products for drones and eVTOLs under European regulatory standards.
The company’s POA approval advances unmanned and autonomous aviation, reflecting Embention’s innovation, dedication, and commitment to technical excellence in the autonomous aviation market.
The achievement paves the way for certified avionics products and the safe integration of autonomous technologies into shared airspace. It also supports the development of next-generation systems such as air taxis, key to urban air mobility’s evolution and the future of autonomous transportation.
Embention’s approval reinforces its focus on safety, reliability, and technical excellence, solidifying its leadership in an evolving aerospace market and providing a strong foundation for a robust production ecosystem for safe, certified UAS operations.
This strengthens clients and institutions’ trust in Embention’s products and aids the wide deployment of autonomous solutions across defense, aerial logistics, emergency response, precision agriculture, and urban air mobility sectors.
