Neousys Technology Earns Silver Recognition at 2022 Military + aerospace Electronics Innovators awards
In a notable achievement, Neousys Technology has been honored as a Silver award recipient by a distinguished panel of judges from the aerospace and defense sectors during the 2022 military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards. The company’s Rugged HPC Server, the RGS-8805GC, stood out among the top contenders.
Innovative Design for Extreme Conditions
The RGS-8805GC is recognized as one of the pioneering rugged edge high-performance computing (HPC) servers designed for deployment in the field. It is equipped with the AMD EPYC 7003 series “MILAN” processor, boasting up to 64 cores and 128 threads, and supports high-performance NVIDIA RTX A6000 or A4500 GPUs. This server operates efficiently in a wide temperature range of -25°C to 60°C,all within a compact 2U 19-inch rack-mount form factor, measuring just 350mm in depth. Additionally, it is engineered to withstand shock and vibration, and it accommodates a DC input voltage range of 8 to 48V.
Versatile Functionality for Advanced applications
With extra PCIe expansion slots available, the RGS-8805GC can integrate various function cards for sensors, automotive cameras, and LiDAR systems. This capability allows it to serve as a complete solution for sensing, perception, and planning tasks in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
Recognition from Industry Leaders
“We extend our congratulations to Neousys for achieving Silver-level honoree status,” stated John Keller, Editor in Chief of Military + Aerospace Electronics. “This competitive initiative enables us to highlight and honor the most groundbreaking products that are shaping the aerospace and defense landscape this year.”
Overcoming Environmental Challenges
“Traditional HPC servers typically require climate-controlled environments to function effectively. however, leveraging neousys’ expertise in thermal design, we have developed a unique three-partition enclosure that allows our HPC server to operate outside of air-conditioned spaces, even in extreme conditions,” explained Chris Ni, Product Director at Neousys Technology. “For military operations, where complex computations and analyses are crucial,a rugged HPC server like the RGS-8805GC can address these challenges effectively. Furthermore,it enhances ADAS capabilities for unmanned vehicles, facilitating remote operations in hazardous environments.”
