Unlocking Precision: Mini Choke Ring Antenna Achieves GNSS Calibration!

Harxon Corporation has confirmed that its HX-CGX611A mini choke antenna has undergone GNSS antenna calibration by leading calibration

Harxon Corporation’s Advanced GNSS antenna Calibration

Harxon Corporation has announced that its HX-CGX611A mini choke antenna has successfully completed GNSS antenna calibration at the renowned Geo++ calibration facility. This innovative antenna, designed with a compact choke ring structure, is particularly suited for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) base stations and various applications demanding high-precision positioning.

understanding the Calibration Process

The calibration technique employed by Geo++ accurately identifies the absolute phase center offsets of the antenna in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. It also assesses the elevation and azimuth-dependent phase center variations (PCV) and group delay variations (GDV) across multiple GNSS frequencies. Notably, the PCV and GDV results are entirely independent of the reference antenna utilized during the calibration, enabling comprehensive correction of the antenna’s reception characteristics.

Enhanced Performance Metrics

Following the calibration, the HX-CGX611A choke ring GNSS antenna demonstrates exceptional phase center reliability.Calibration has been performed for all frequencies across the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations, resulting in considerably improved data accuracy. The maximum phase center variability across all frequencies is maintained within 0.88mm, fulfilling the stringent requirements for sub-millimeter positioning accuracy. The typical PCV value from zenith to a 5° elevation is recorded at less than 1.5mm, with the highest value reaching 2mm.Additionally, the root mean square (RMS) typical value is below 0.05mm, with a maximum of 0.08mm.

Conclusion

With these advancements, Harxon Corporation’s HX-CGX611A antenna stands out as a leading solution for applications requiring precise GNSS positioning, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and quality in the field of satellite navigation technology.
