Volatus Aerospace Revolutionizes Border Security with Cutting-Edge Autonomous Drone Solutions

Volatus Aerospace and Ondas Holdings are partnering to deploy the autonomous Optimus System, enhancing border surveillance, security, and critical infrastructure monitoring with advanced aerial and ground-based intelligence solutions

Volatus Aerospace has forged a strategic alliance with American Robotics,Inc., a subsidiary of Ondas, to promote the Optimus System, an advanced autonomous drone platform designed for round-the-clock aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering.

The Optimus System is anticipated to significantly bolster Volatus Aerospace’s ability to deliver complete border surveillance and security solutions, which are vital for national safety.

Key Aspects of the Collaboration:

  • Objective and Reach: The incorporation of the fully autonomous Optimus System enhances Volatus’ surveillance and security offerings throughout North America and beyond, improving capabilities in border security and infrastructure oversight.
  • Technological integration and Implementation: This partnership leverages Volatus’ Operations Control Center (OCC), merging piloted and remotely piloted aircraft with ground sensors and the advanced Optimus system to establish a robust surveillance-as-a-service framework.
  • Market Expansion: Targeting strategic growth in Canada, the UK, and Africa, this collaboration broadens Volatus’ global service portfolio through its extensive sales network, while also creating new opportunities for Ondas and American Robotics in critical sectors such as oil, gas, and utilities.
  • Training and Support Services: Volatus will act as a certified training center, providing extraordinary operational and service support for the Optimus System, backed by its advanced OCC and dedicated support personnel.

This partnership is focused on meeting the rising demand for sophisticated border surveillance solutions, utilizing Volatus’ Operations Control Center (OCC) to fully leverage the optimus System for both independent and integrated border security applications across North America and other international markets. By combining aerial and ground-based security intelligence, this strategy significantly improves the capacity to identify and address threats before they escalate.

The Optimus System is engineered for continuous aerial operations in challenging environments, demonstrating proven autonomy and reliability that facilitate scalable remote operations. Its automated battery and payload swapping features ensure uninterrupted functionality, supporting various critical applications from video surveillance to inspection and analysis, utilizing an array of integrated sensors, including LiDAR technology.

This comprehensive aerial security solution, featuring the NDAA-compliant Optimus System, is strategically positioned to enhance security operations along the extensive 8,890-kilometer US-Canada border.

The collaboration between Ondas and Volatus Aerospace, utilizing the Optimus system within a diverse fleet, aims to tackle border control challenges by providing an autonomous aerial platform that strengthens border security and maintains the integrity of national boundaries.

Moreover, the integration of emergency response capabilities within the Optimus System facilitates a more effective reaction to identified threats. By delivering real-time data and situational awareness, the system enhances the ability to swiftly and efficiently mitigate risks, ensuring a proactive stance on national security issues.

Glen Lynch, CEO of Volatus Aerospace, stated, “This strategic partnership empowers Volatus to significantly enhance our border surveillance and security solutions. By integrating the scalable,field-proven Optimus System with our remote operations,we are prepared to meet the evolving demands for security and surveillance. The increasing need for autonomous border security solutions underscores the importance of this collaboration.”

Eric Brock, CEO of Ondas Holdings, remarked, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Volatus, who consistently excel as providers of sophisticated aerial intelligence and services to critical governmental, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

“We believe this partnership, bolstered by Volatus’ extensive sales, marketing, and field support capabilities, will broaden our market reach and accelerate the penetration of our Optimus System. We are particularly eager about Volatus’ initiatives to secure borders, where the deployment of autonomous drone infrastructure is an urgent necessity for many homeland security agencies today.”
