Introducing the Dynautics Phantom: A Revolutionary Modular AUV
Dynautics Ltd, a pioneer in intelligent marine electronics tailored for unmanned vessels, has unveiled its latest innovation: the Dynautics Phantom, a modular and scalable autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). This groundbreaking product, which has successfully undergone sea trials and is now in the hands of customers, will be showcased at the ocean business technology exhibition in Southampton, UK.
A new Era in AUV Design
The launch of the Dynautics Phantom marks a significant advancement in the realm of modular AUV design. This vehicle is engineered to accommodate a variety of payloads and can be customized to align with the specific missions of its users. Dr.Henry Robinson, the CEO of Dynautics, stated, “We have crafted a straightforward and effective design with a quick turnaround. The sea trials have yielded positive results, and we have already delivered units to our initial customer. Our goal with the Phantom AUV is to create a modular system that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. We recognize that each customer has distinct mission objectives, and we are committed to facilitating their success.”
Tailored Solutions for Diverse Missions
The version of the Phantom being presented at the exhibition was developed in response to a specific client’s requirements. This customer outlined their mission parameters, and Dynautics meticulously designed the AUV to fulfill those specifications. The dimensions of this model are 1.3 meters in length, with a maximum speed of 4 knots and a depth rating of 30 meters.
Modularity for Enhanced flexibility
Dr. Robinson further elaborated, “Our client provided the necessary specifications, and we opted for a modular design knowing that other clients might have varying requirements. This strategy enabled us to leverage existing design elements and technologies, such as our Spectre control system. We invite prospective customers to explore this adaptable solution as a foundation for their AUV mission needs.”
