Codan Limited has announced its intention to acquire 100% of the shares in U.S.-based company, DTC, from a private equity company.

codan Limited has revealed plans to purchase 100% of the shares of DTC, a U.S.-based firm, from a private equity group. This acquisition is anticipated to finalize by April 30, 2021, pending the usual regulatory approvals associated with such transactions.

DTC: A Key Player in Government Communications

DTC has established itself as a reliable supplier for over 20 important U.S.government agencies, including members of the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance, which encompasses Military, Special Forces, Border Control, First Responders, and broadcasters.

Strategic Growth in Tactical Communications

Donald McGurk, Codan’s CEO, emphasized that “acquiring DTC aligns perfectly with our strategic growth objectives for the Tactical communications sector. Our focus is on delivering comprehensive voice, data, and video interaction solutions, moving beyond traditional voice-only systems.”

Based in the U.S. with additional offices in the UK and Denmark, DTC specializes in commercially available technology that offers high-bandwidth wireless communications.Their expertise includes MIMO Mesh networks and advanced software-defined radios, which facilitate data transmission across self-forming and self-healing networks.
