Milestone Achieved: 1,000th Subsea Metrology Operation by 3D at Depth

3D at Depth, a subsidiary of Kraken robotics, has successfully completed its 1,000th subsea metrology operation, marking a pivotal achievement in underwater measurement technology.

3D At Depth Reaches 1,000th Subsea Metrology

Project Overview: LiDAR Spool Metrology for TotalEnergies

In a recent project, 3D at Depth was engaged by an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor to conduct a LiDAR spool metrology for TotalEnergies at a depth of 1,350 meters in the Girassol oil field, situated off the coast of Angola, West Africa. The operation involved deploying a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) equipped with 3D at Depth’s advanced Subsea LiDAR technology, wich was mobilized within just two hours. The entire scanning process took four hours, and the results were delivered to the client within a swift 24-hour timeframe.

Company Background and Expertise

Founded in 2011, 3D at Depth has carved a niche in providing top-tier subsea measurement services. The company utilizes proprietary technology and a highly skilled team to ensure precise and reliable results for its clients.

Client Testimonials and Impact

Maïwenn Keryell-Even, a Survey Engineer at TotalEnergies, along with Simon Olive, Product Owner for Survey and Positioning, remarked, “The integration of cutting-edge technologies and touchless solutions enables TotalEnergies to mitigate risks associated with inspection, maintenance, and repair.
