Airmar Technology corporation, a leader in ultrasonic and acoustic sensing solutions, has appointed Suzanne Hawley as the Brand Manager for its subsidiary, Gemeco Marine Electronics Specialists, based in Lake City, South Carolina.
Bringing a wealth of experience in marketing and public relations within the marine electronics sector, Hawley has spent two decades running Hawley Communications, a consultancy dedicated to innovative marketing strategies for the recreational boating market.
A five-time recipient of the Neptune Marine Marketing Award, Hawley has also contributed her expertise as a writer for various marine trade organizations, including the National marine Electronics Association (NMEA) and the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA).
In her new role at Gemeco, Hawley will be tasked with aligning the company’s business goals with effective marketing strategies aimed at boosting revenue. Her responsibilities will include managing the marketing budget, identifying and monitoring key performance indicators, and overseeing all brand and marketing initiatives for gemeco. Before her consulting career, she spent 12 years at Raytheon Marine company and Raymarine, where she held the position of US Communications Manager.
