The custom cells, engineered in partnership with Amprius’ strategic clients, are specifically designed to meet the rigorous qualification standards for high-altitude pseudo-satellite (HAPS) operations, enabling functionality in demanding environments.

Enhanced Performance Metrics

Compared to the previous 400 Wh/kg platform, the new 450 Wh/kg cells boast superior energy density and extended cycle life. According to the company, these cells are the only commercially available batteries capable of delivering the necessary power and endurance for overnight stratospheric flights in HAPS applications.
