Hirth’s cutting-edge two-stroke engines boast remarkable power-to-weight ratios and minimal fuel consumption, making them perfectly suited for the demands of unmanned aviation.

All products are crafted by a team of seasoned professionals at the company’s research and technology center located near Stuttgart, germany. Each component, whether produced in-house or sourced from partner vendors, undergoes stringent testing protocols.

The company has engineered a proprietary electronic direct injection system that enhances fuel efficiency and ensures smooth operation, along with various other advantages for UAV platforms. Hirth’s product lineup includes both gasoline and heavy fuel engines, catering to commercial, military, and maritime applications. Each base engine can be tailored to create customized solutions that align with specific UAV propulsion needs.

The air-cooled 23 Series is designed for UAVs weighing up to 120 kg, delivering 50 HP with an unparalleled power-to-weight ratio. Built for exceptional reliability, it features a 1000-hour time between overhauls (TBO) and can be outfitted with options such as dual ignition, fuel injection, and an electric starter.

With a remarkable power-to-weight ratio of 65HP, the 32 Series of air-cooled engines is perfect for weight-sensitive UAV platforms. It offers a 1000-hour TBO at 75% power, ensuring that your design remains resilient against future challenges in unmanned aviation.

Weighing only 12.7 kg and producing 30HP, the air-cooled 33 Series is an excellent option for smaller UAV platforms. It can be optionally equipped with dual ignition and configured to provide 50W of generator power.

The 35 Series, featuring liquid cooling and outstanding durability, delivers the highest power-to-weight ratio available in the 70-horsepower category. It can be optionally equipped with dual ignition, an electric starter, and a separate lubrication system.

A heavy-fuel variant, the 35HF, is also available to meet the needs of maritime applications and defense sectors.

Drawing from a proven design that has successfully completed over 20,000 missions in challenging environments, the air-cooled 41 Series showcases the latest advancements in two-stroke UAV engine technology. It employs sophisticated closed-loop control and automatic altitude and temperature compensation, providing up to 8.1 HP at 6700 rpm and ensuring reliable performance in extreme conditions.

Similar to the 41 Series, the air-cooled 42 Series features advanced closed-loop control and automatic altitude and temperature compensation for optimal performance in any surroundings. It delivers up to 15HP at 6500 rpm and can be equipped with oil injection, various reduction drive options, and starter/generator capabilities of up to 1 kW.

A heavy-fuel variant, the 42HF, is also available to cater to the requirements of maritime applications and defense forces.
