The D1-X stands out as a highly adaptable and powerful quadcopter drone, capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. Its innovative design incorporates both top and bottom payload rails, enhancing its versatility. The drone’s airframe is engineered to house its batteries internally and centrally aligned across all three axes, which optimizes its flight dynamics and overall performance. This configuration also facilitates easy storage in its carrying case without the need to detach the batteries.
To enhance portability, both the arms and landing gear of the D1-X are foldable. The landing gear can also be removed to accommodate Copterworks’ upcoming range of quick-disconnect payload accessories. All electronic components are securely housed in three sealed compartments, ensuring robust protection against moisture, dust, and adverse weather conditions.
Most of the electronic parts are high-quality, commercially available components, enabling operators to perform many DIY repairs with minimal downtime. The complete D1-X package comes standard with an Orange Cube flight controller and Herelink ground Control Station (GCS). Additional options available upon request include:
- Flight Controllers – Pixhawk Blue Cube or Auterion Skynode
- Handheld Transmitter/Receiver: Herelink Blue or Skydroid H16 Pro
