Introducing the Model 1522: A Durable MEMS DC Accelerometer for Challenging Environments

The Model 1522 is a robust,cost-effective MEMS DC accelerometer specifically engineered for industrial applications in drones and robotics. It excels in environments that experience significant temperature variations or extreme conditions over extended periods.This accelerometer is available in multiple g-range configurations and features a MEMS capacitive sensing element paired with a custom ASIC that includes an integrated sensing amplifier and a differential output stage.

Precision Engineering for Enhanced Performance

Each Model 1522 accelerometer is nitrogen-damped and hermetically sealed, ensuring reliability in demanding conditions. To guarantee optimal performance in temperature-sensitive applications, each unit undergoes rigorous individual testing, programming, calibration, and verification within a controlled climate chamber. Accompanying each device is a calibration test report that details the actual measured bias, scale factor, linearity, operating current, and frequency response metrics.

Output and Design Features

the Model 1522 generates a differential output voltage of ±4 volts. The seismic center is strategically positioned along the centerline between the dual sensing elements,effectively canceling out any rotational errors around this point through advanced internal electronics.
