The WOLF-3183 serves as a cutting-edge platform for high-speed video capture and transmission, utilizing the advanced FGX2 technology, which is WOLF’s second iteration of frame grabbing solutions. This device supports both digital and analog formats at 4K resolution, leveraging the capabilities of Xilinx® Kintex® UltraScale+™ FPGA series. It is particularly designed for applications in machine vision, synthetic vision, or video processing, especially in challenging environments were minimizing latency and optimizing size, weight, and power (SWaP) are critical.
This module adheres to the Interface Control Document (ICD) standards set by SOSA and ANSI/VITA 46.9 for both 3U and 6U VXP configurations. It offers a significant upgrade from the earlier WOLF-3080 model, maintaining compatibility with existing hardware ICDs and thermal specifications. When integrated with a WOLF NVIDIA-based GPGPU module, it facilitates remarkably low-latency peer-to-peer communication, thereby alleviating CPU load during the processing or encoding of ample data volumes.
Additionally, the MCOTS options allow for the adaptability to adapt interfaces to various analog or digital video standards. Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) drivers can be provided upon request to enhance functionality.
