The vigilant FLS is an advanced Forward Looking Sonar system crafted to improve situational awareness adn facilitate obstacle avoidance for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) navigating thru uncharted and potentially hazardous waters. This underwater sonar technology offers timely notifications regarding submerged threats, enabling vessels to execute effective evasive maneuvers.
With remarkable resolution and clarity,the Vigilant system can be integrated into nearly any existing vessel,significantly minimizing the chances of groundings and underwater collisions with debris,ice,marine life,and other dangers.
Real-time 3D Imaging and Collision Alerts
The Vigilant operates in two primary modes: 3D mode and sonar mode. In 3D mode, it utilizes bathymetric data and color-coded depth imagery to generate a three-dimensional terrain map of the seabed and water column, extending up to 600 meters ahead and down to 100 meters.The sonar mode captures long-range positional information, offering customizable automated alerts for objects located up to 1.5 kilometers away, with a 120-degree field of view.
This system also features a past mapping function that helps create a detailed portrayal of the underwater habitat surrounding the vessel,enhancing situational awareness.Additionally, it can be utilized alongside Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) overlays for improved navigation.
