Unlocking Precision: The RiverStar ADCP 1200/600 for Enhanced Waterway Insights

Introducing the RiverStar Series ADCP: Precision in Hydrological Measurement

The RiverStar Series Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP), comprising the RS1200 and RS600 models, deliver exceptional precision in both shallow and deep aquatic environments. With a complex 5-beam configuration and a central depth measurement frequency of 300kHz, these state-of-the-art ADCPs perform admirably across diverse water conditions, from tranquil to rapid currents and varying depths. When integrated with the CHCNAV Apache 4 Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), operational productivity is significantly enhanced, requiring only a single vessel and remote control for field operations, representing a major leap forward in hydrological surveying.

Automated Measurement for Enhanced Efficiency

The RS1200 and RS600 models are designed with a fully automated measurement feature, which removes the necessity for manual adjustments of flow measurement settings. Data can be securely stored in the onboard memory and synchronized through dedicated software, ensuring dependable data retention and easy access for thorough analysis.

Advanced Software Solutions for Data Management

HydroProfiler for PC provides customizable page layouts and data output options, along with compatibility for external echo sounders. This facilitates efficient data transfer through network protocols, streamlining hydrological analysis. Additionally, the Easysail software for the CHCNAV Apache 4 USV allows for seamless data format switching, including velocity profiles and satellite imagery, along with one-click file transfers and code sharing to computers.

Robust Design for Diverse Environments

The RS series ADCPs are equipped with a 300 kHz central bathymetric beam and can be paired with an external low-frequency echo sounder. This combination enables effective penetration in high-sand water conditions, accurately capturing bottom data. Notably, these devices can operate in 30% more environments compared to conventional surveying techniques.

Adaptability in Various Water Conditions

In shallow and low-flow water scenarios, the RS1200 and RS600 automatically transition to Pulse Coherent Signal mode. The RS1200 boasts a minimum layer thickness of just 2 cm and a blind zone of 15 cm, allowing for data collection in water as shallow as 30 cm, making it suitable for a wide range of aquatic conditions.

Versatile Mounting Options for Different Vessels

The RS1200 and RS600 ADCPs can be mounted on various surface vessels, including USVs,trimarans, cableway towing systems, motorized survey boats, and channel buoys. This versatility ensures that our ADCPs can be effectively utilized in numerous hydrological survey applications.

Innovative Hardware for Superior Performance

the cutting-edge hardware design of the RS1200 and RS600 significantly minimizes noise, enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio by 5dB.Compared to customary methods, these devices offer over a 50% increase in accuracy, providing reliable and precise data for a multitude of applications.
