OKIS offers a dependable automated take-off and landing system tailored for military UAVs, aimed at minimizing critical incidents and aircraft losses that frequently enough occur during manual operations. This radar-based technology addresses the shortcomings of GNSS systems, which are reliant on satellite availability and susceptible too spoofing and jamming, as well as the limitations of laser-based alternatives.
The system is designed to be low size, weight, and power (SWaP) and is easily transportable. It includes an airborne transponder that can be fitted to a variety of UAVs without significantly affecting their payload capacity, along with a portable ground radar that provides range, bearing, and elevation data to the Ground Control Station (GCS). Remarkably, this setup can be installed in as little as 15 minutes.
