OKIS provides a reliable automatic take-off and landing solution for military UAVs that is designed to reduce critical incidents and aircraft losses encountered during manual operations. The radar-based system overcomes the limitations of GNSS solutions, such as dependence on satellite availability and vulnerability to spoofing and jamming, and of laser-based systems.
The low-SWaP and easily transportable system is comprised of an airborne transponder that can be installed on a wide range of UAVs without significantly impacting payload capacity, and a portable ground radar that transmits range, bearing and elevation to the GCS and can be installed in as little as 15 minutes.
