Introducing the RIEGL VQ-840-GE Airborne Laser Scanner

The RIEGL VQ-840-GE is a state-of-the-art airborne laser scanning device, specifically engineered for UAV applications that require both topographic and bathymetric data collection. This compact and lightweight scanner can effectively penetrate up to two Secchi depths when operating at an altitude of 75 meters. Utilizing a focused green laser beam, it excels in measuring underwater targets, providing remarkable spatial resolution with measurement frequencies reaching 100 kHz and scanning capabilities of up to 100 scans per second.

Durable Design for Challenging Conditions

Weighing in at only 9.5 kg, the RIEGL VQ-840-GE boasts a robust mechanical design, complemented by a dust- and splash-resistant casing, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. For enhanced functionality, users can opt for a digital RGB camera to add colorization to their data, along with a fully integrated IMU/GNSS system that improves location and orientation accuracy.
