The idME device is engineered to fulfill the standards for remote drone identification and localization as outlined in the ASTM/ASD-STAN guidelines. Utilizing BLE broadcast technology, this device enables the identification of drone operators and surveillance capabilities through any contemporary mobile device, including smartphones and tablets.
Connecting the idME to a Pixhawk controller is straightforward via a JST connector. To ensure full functionality, it requires a position source, along with various other parameters, which are directly sourced from the MAVLink protocol.
Its compact design and minimal power consumption make it ideal for ultra-lightweight drones. The use of AT commands allows users to customize broadcast messages, including the drone’s identification number and aircraft type. Furthermore, additional authentication options are available to enhance security.
