Acecore and Drone Rescue Systems Join Forces to Elevate Drone Safety Standards!

Acecore Technologies and Drone Rescue Systems collaborate to integrate parachute safety solutions, ensuring compliance with MoC Light-UAS regulations for safer drone operations

Collaboration between Acecore Drone Rescue Systems for enhanced drone safety.

Acecore Technologies, a prominent drone manufacturer in Europe, has joined forces with Drone Rescue Systems, a pioneer in parachute solutions for drones, too enhance safety and compliance for users.

This partnership allows all Acecore drones to be fitted with parachute safety systems that adhere to regulatory standards, providing numerous advantages.

The technical collaboration ensures that Acecore drones comply with MoC Light-UAS.2512 (M2) and MoC Light-UAS.2511 regulations. These standards are essential for executing complex drone operations under the SORA (specific operations Risk Assessment) or PDRA (Pre-Defined Risk Assessment) frameworks. The Acecore Noa, when paired with the DRS-NOA parachute, not only enhances the safety of drone missions but also ensures compliance with local regulations.

Andreas Ploier, CEO of Drone Rescue Systems, remarked, “We frequently hear from clients who express concerns regarding flight permits and safety. At DRS, we are excited to see Acecore drones equipped with our EASA-certified parachute systems soaring through the skies. These drones, known for their robust design, combined with our certified parachute systems, provide peace of mind regarding aircraft safety, allowing operators to concentrate on their missions.”

Jorrit Linders, CEO of Acecore Technologies, added, “Transitioning from manually activated parachute systems, we are pleased to offer our clients enhanced operational safety through DRS’s autonomous parachutes. This non-pyrotechnical system simplifies transportation and handling. While it’s unfortunate that you may never witness this advanced technology in action, it’s reassuring to know it’s there.”

Advantages of SORA and PDRA Compliance

MOC 2511 Benefits

  • Improved Containment: Guarantees that a malfunctioning drone will not stray into unintended areas.
  • Adherence to EASA Standards: Demonstrates that the drone operator has implemented safety measures in line with “MOC (Means of Compliance) Light UAS.2511 – enhanced containment.”
  • Facilitating PDRA or SORA Step 9: Addresses the risk of losing control of the aircraft and potential flyaways, including assessing the level of containment (standard or enhanced).

MOC 2512 Benefits

  • Minimized Ground Risk: lowers the final ground risk (GRC score) by -1, reducing the impact of ground collisions in case of loss of control.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to MOC 2512 (M2) standards.
  • Effective Risk Mitigation: Offers reliable solutions that function effectively in the event of a loss of control without increasing overall risk.
