Aerofex to Present Thrust Vector Control Insights at 2025 AIAA AVIATION Forum

Aerofex will present its latest insights on thrust vector control at the 2025 AIAA AVIATION Forum with a technical paper from CTO Mark De Roche, highlighting innovations in VTOL technology and propulsion systems

Aerofex, a pioneering aerospace firm based in Los Angeles, has been chosen to present at the 2025 AIAA AVIATION Forum, scheduled for July 21-25 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The company will present a technical paper titled “Thrust Vector Control of Propeller Drive Craft,” authored by their Chief Technology Officer, Mark De Roche, during the “VSTOL-02, Developments in Modern V/STOL Technology” session.

Aerofex specializes in thrust vectoring technology for propeller-driven aircraft, an advanced capability that enhances stability, control, and efficiency across various aerial platforms. Through Aerofex, Mark De Roche and his team have developed and flight-tested multiple heavy-lift manned and unmanned VTOL aircraft with unique capabilities

The forthcoming presentation at the AIAA AVIATION Forum will delve into the specifics of thrust vector control mechanisms. By pivoting the propeller’s thrust through its center, Aerofex’s technology achieves pure control forces without introducing adverse moments. This approach isolates the engine from off-axis loads, allowing for scalable applications across various vehicle types and missions.

Aerofex’s participation in the AIAA AVIATION Forum underscores their commitment to advancing aerospace technology and sharing their expertise with the broader scientific and engineering community.
