On May 21, 2024, Drone Delivery Canada corp.and Volatus Aerospace Corp. announced the successful completion of their merger, marking a significant milestone in the aerospace sector.

Details of the Merger

Through a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario), Drone Delivery Canada has acquired all outstanding common shares of volatus, resulting in Volatus becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic move is expected to enhance operational capabilities and market reach.

A New Chapter in aerial Logistics

The merger signifies a transformative phase for both entities, merging Volatus’ expertise in commercialization with Drone Delivery Canada’s established remote operations and logistics technology. This collaboration aims to create a robust aerial intelligence and logistics ecosystem, providing efficient solutions across various sectors.

Shareholder and Legal Approvals

Both companies secured the necessary approvals from their shareholders,with Drone Delivery Canada convening its meeting on August 26 and Volatus on August 23. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) granted approval for the arrangement on August 27.
