Beyond Vision Partners with Portuguese Navy for UAV Deployment
Beyond Vision has finalized a contract worth €600,375 to supply a fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the Portuguese Navy.
Specifications of the UAV Fleet
The UAV fleet consists of 6 HEIFU multirotor drones and 6 VTOne vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft. These drones have been meticulously engineered to fulfill the specific operational needs of the Portuguese Navy while adhering to NATO standards.
Advanced Technology Integration
This fleet is equipped with cutting-edge technology,including licenses for the beXStream platform,which facilitates remote drone piloting and asset management. This cloud-based system allows for real-time control, significantly boosting operational efficiency.
Enhanced Payload Capabilities
To augment the fleet’s functionality, the contract includes 20 elegant payloads. These payloads feature high-resolution 4K cameras, LiDAR systems, multispectral imaging devices, zoom lenses, and thermal imaging cameras. Such advanced equipment will empower the Portuguese Navy to gather critical intelligence and execute precise missions across various defense scenarios.
Extensive Support and Training
Beyond Vision is committed to providing extensive support to the Portuguese Navy. The contract encompasses thorough training, ongoing maintenance, and dedicated technical assistance, ensuring that the Navy can fully leverage the capabilities of the UAV fleet for optimal operational performance.
Timely delivery for Strategic Operations
The delivery of this advanced UAV fleet is scheduled to occur within a rapid four-month timeframe, ensuring that the Portuguese Navy can promptly integrate these state-of-the-art drones into their critical operations.
