FLYING-CAM has teamed up with CRP technology to 3D print essential components for the special aerial Response Automatic Helicopter (SARAH).
The components produced include the airframe, cooling system for airflow management, tail assembly, and primary battery connector, all crafted from cutting-edge Windform composite materials.
This collaboration marks FLYING-CAM’s shift to Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology, aimed at speeding up the design iteration process, boosting manufacturing efficiency, and enabling large-scale production. This partnership also simplifies the customization of the drone platform.
The project focused on the need for rapid prototyping, achieving an ideal compromise between weight and structural integrity, ensuring consistent quality, and integrating multiple functions into single components.
CRP Technology has been noted for its swift adaptability to changing project needs,effective teamwork with FLYING-CAM’s engineers and CAD specialists,and high-quality output thru its proprietary manufacturing techniques.
introducing SARAH: A Cutting-Edge UAS
The Flying-Cam 3.0 SARAH is an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) unmanned aerial system (UAS) weighing 25 kg,capable of flying for 30 minutes while carrying a payload of up to 5 kg.
This system features advanced aerodynamics, innovative flight modes, and modular payload options, all within a compact and easily deployable design. it provides high-precision aerial 3D imagery with centimeter-level accuracy.
Production of the SARAH system has begun, with the spanish Aerospace Research Centre FADA-CATEC receiving its initial units.
These systems are being utilized in air traffic management, aviation research, and technology development initiatives in collaboration with industry leaders such as BOEING, EADS, and AIRBUS MILITARY.
The SARAH is user-friendly, features maintenance-free propulsion, and is equipped with FLYING-CAM’s proprietary Automatic Pilot System, which enhances real-time image quality for both day and night operations.
Compared to heavier and pricier alternatives, SARAH offers superior performance while benefiting from less stringent regulatory requirements due to its 25 kg classification, which also helps reduce operational costs. Its applications span emergency response, surveillance, defense, broadcast media, and film production.
